SIGN-UP for On-Site Elk Permit drawing will be in the old Buffalo Theater Building on the square in Jasper
Each year the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission has a drawing for the Elk permits only at the Buffalo River Elk Festival. In addition, they have permits that you can only sign up for at the festival. For more information visit the AGFC website.
Registration for the Special Permits are Friday afternoon at 1:00 pm until 4pm and Saturday to 4pm.
You will need a current Arkansas Hunting License to sign up. Licenses can be purchased in Jasper at Tanner Hardware.
Drawings for permits begin at NOON on Saturday and are held every hour on the hour until 5 pm when the drawing for the permits taken at the festival is held.
